On Tuesday, 9th August, the K9 CleanCoats team visited the Dog Show at Lunesdale Agricultural Show, Underley Park, Kirkby Lonsdale in the Lake District.
Typically, I suspect for a Cumbrian morning, the day started out damp & showers were forecast. Even as we pulled into the Dog Show car park, we could see dogs wearing their K9 CleanCoats being walked around by their people in the long, wet, cut grass.
Some of those people were people we knew, like Jo Cunliffe, Kath Holt and Steve Anderson, but many of the people walking around were clients whom we had only dealt with over the telephone & internet.
I was wearing my red/stars and stripes K9 CleanCoat to keep my long hair dry and clean, and prevent me getting cold from hanging around in the wet.
This was an ideal day to own a K9 CleanCoat, particularly for the showdogs trying to stay dry & clean until it was time to go in the ring.
Whilst my Dad was judging, I went around & introduced myself to the other dogs wearing their made-to-measure bodysuits.
My Mum enjoyed meeting the people she had only dealt with previously over the telephone.
People saw me walking around in my K9 CleanCoat onesie & saw my adverts on the Secretary’s table, and before long I was measuring up other dogs in order that they might be kept clean, warm and dry too.
It was really useful to bump into Amanda Kirkman with her 4 Tsarmont Golden Retrievers, as I’d missed seeing her at the Golden Retriever Club of GB’s Club Show back in July, and Steve Anderson to measure up another of his Newfoundlands.
As well as the “big hairies”, we also measured up a Whippet who is going to really enjoy his cosy made-to-measure giraffe print PJs.
After the Dog Show, we motored up to the Days Inn, Johnstonbridge, where I had a room with a view.
